THE PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION
Lt. Robert
and Aaron Hayes Memorial foundation is a ministry of care that seeks
to work with
area scholarships and youth basketball programs. We are also focused
to work with other like-minded individuals or organizations that see
and are willing to meet the needs of unfortunate young adults and youths.
THE
FOUNDATION'S MISSION
The Lt.
Robert Hayes and Aaron Hayes Memorial Scholarship and Youth Basketball
Foundation is a private, non-for-profit organization founded by Frozene
Hayes in 2006 as a vehicle to perpetuate the Memorial of Lt. Robert
Hayes and Aaron Hayes achievements. Serving as an
advocate in the community for young men and women with the greatest
need.
- To establish
programs in local Churches and youth basketball.
- To develop,
relationships with other likeminded individuals, churches, congregations
or social groups who see the vision of the foundations.
- To develop
support and encourgage all volunteers who work with the ministry.
- To encourage
and mentor youths and young adults God's way to succeed in life.

THE
HISTORY OF THE FOUNDATION
On July
9th, 2006 the Lt Robert Hayes Foundation participated
in it's first Scholarship award Church function. A contribution
of $2000.00 was made to help fund nine academic Scholar College recipients
through the GreaterFaith Church Baptist Scholarship Foundation. The
Recipients were: Nathan Coles (Tenn.State Univ); De'Ana Fletcher; Ashley
Reid; Ebony Cotton; Daniel Funchess; Emmanuel Funchess; Brandon McKinney;
Gregory Slater; and Jae'la Williams.
HOW
SCHOLARS ARE CHOSEN
The LT.
Robert Hayes Scholars are chosen via a selective process viewed by a
selection committee of the Foundation. Applicants are based on the following
criteria: Academic achievement, leadership, potential and commitment
to community service for need.
